The Decorative Arched Insert pre-dates the Classical model by some 30 years, having been designed around the time of the Great Exhibition in 1851.

Accordingly, it incorporates elements of Greek and Roman detailing which were frequently adopted as ornamentation, itself a reflection of Britain’s growing sense of grandeur at the time.

Elegantly crafted to exacting standards, the Decorative Arched insert includes a variety of both period precise reproductions and history inspired designer style. It also features a cast relief baffle plate to the rear of the fire with an attractive coat of arms motif.

These complete fireplaces feature a grate and built-in fireback and are designed to fit into a 36′ by 36′ (915mm x 915mm) opening. Suitable for solid fuels such as wood, coal and approved smokeless fuels.
